Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE AT THE CEREMONY?
- Please arrive at St. Bernadette no later than 12:45 PM to ensure all guests are seated by the start
of the ceremony, which begins promptly at 1:00 PM.
CAN I BRING A PLUS ONE?
- Due to limited space, we can only accommodate formally invited guests. If you have received a
plus one, they will be specifically addressed within the formal invitation. Otherwise, we ask that
only the named people in the invitation are in attendance. Thank you for understanding.
ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?
- As much as we love your little ones, our wedding is exclusively for adults, with the exception of
immediate families. Our intention is for you and your spouse to have a fun date night with
music, dancing, and not to mention, unlimited drinks and food!
WILL THERE BE AN OPEN BAR?
- Yes! There will be a cocktail hour before dinner, wine & beer during dinner, and an open bar for
the party! We want you to have the best time, so the drinks are on us but the hangover is on you!
CAN I LEAVE MY CAR AT THE VENUE?
- We encourage everyone who will be partaking in the open bar to drink responsibly and utilize
rideshare (i.e. Uber or Lyft). If you drive to the reception, our venue will allow wedding guests to
leave their cars in the parking lot overnight. Please note, that any damages or stolen property
will not be held responsible by the venue or us.
WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?
- The dress code is formal. Male in suits and button ups and females in evening gowns. Please
note, during the Catholic Nuptial Blessing please ensure to dress modestly to reflect the
reverence for the Nuptial Blessing.
IS THE WEDDING OUTSIDE?
- The ceremony and reception will be inside but there will be an outdoor cocktail hour prior to
dinner. Please dress for a warm autumn night in Arizona. Late October can occasionally get a bit chilly at night,
so please check the forecast and make sure if you think you might get cold to bring a light jacket.
WILL YOU HAVE A REGISTRY?
- We sincerely appreciate our guests’ generosity. Our registry will be up prior to sending out our formal invitations. We will also be celebrating the traditional Chinese culture of gifting red envelopes or “li xi” (lucky money) to the bride and groom as well. For those who would like to follow the custom, please provide the li xi to the bride and groom the day-of the wedding in a red envelope to bless their wedding day and married life.
CAN I TAKE PHOTOS DURING THE CEREMONY?
- We ask that you kindly put your phones and cameras away during the ceremony as we want you all to be present with us in the moment. We have a professional photographer and videographer capturing the ceremony for us. Other than the ceremony, yes! Please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you like.
